thats right kids... august 14th at cbgbs. cousin joe was in lotus tattoos discussing the current state of affairs at cbs and finally convinced civ to a reunion.they shook on it last night and all should be well in the hardcore world.right now thats the only info ive got but stay tuned as there will be more to come.

cousin joe and BNB are becoming the best promotion in nyc. hardcore shows by hardcore people for hardcore kids...the way it should be...so far everything they did...from the superbowl to the manitoba shows to the up coming july 3rd and GB show are nothing but amazing shows. its good to see a real promotion in nyc and as i said b4 im looking forward to anything they do.

I just spoke to cousin Joe and since he doesnt go on the computer he wanted me to clear a couple of thnigs this show is gonna be a benefit for CB's its not gonna be a Black-n-Blue production although he helped with the movement its soley being done cause CIV feels he needs to do it out of respect for a place where he grew up none of the bands are gonna get paid and the money is going to the save CB's foundation there will be no promoters involved its a thing with CIV and CB's.
But there is no denying an appluase for cousin Joe!

this is great news...i was wondering when some of these bands were gonna come out of the woodwork to help cb's in thier time of need .....now all i need is judge sheer terror (again) and darkside nyc (again) and i will be able to quit this shitty scene hahahah

SaveCBGB.org has announced a series of shows in honor of the legendary CBGB's nightclub. Among the band scheduled to play this August are 70s punk legends the Dead Boys, and performances by Gorilla Biscuits, and Circle Jerks as well as newer acts like Against Me! and Thursday. The goal of the performances is to help generate support and momentum hopefully leading to a renewed lease. You can click Read More for the full list of acts.
The legendary NYC club which played home to bands like the Ramones, Patti Smith, Blondie, Television and literally hundreds of others artists through the years may be forced to close its doors. The situation arose due to a dispute with Bowery Residents Committee which holds a 45-year lease on the building. CBGB's is their lone commercial tenant; their rent feud dates back five years, when the committee went to court to collect more than $300,000 in back rent from the club. The Bowery Residents Committee which is 75% funded by the city of New York has listed the property on the Real Estate MLS for anyone else who wishes to rent 313 and 315 Bowery.
