BURNSIDE - NJHC - Vision of Serenity CD 98 on RPP Records: Very difficult to put these guys into a particular style of hardcore cause they really have an interesting sound. The music has lots of metal influence with some Candiria / Earth Crisis / Snapcase / kinda evil beat down style mixed in there. Totally a style all it's own though. Vocals are deep, screamy, and dark. The recording on this CD is nothing less than perfect and makes good use of background vocals and acoustic inserts. Overall, the band is on the outer edge of the Hardcore sound, fitting comfortably into the new school / evilcore sound that's putting fear into everyone. They got lots of sweet breakdowns for all you dancers and tons of quick parts for all you new school kids.
